The Gauteng Department of Education has just announced that the 2022 school admissions’ website has been shut down for the next 48 hours.
The department says it needs an emergency fix to be applied to the online system.
Parents and guardians who are applying under the current Phase 1 application period will not be able to access the website until further notice.
Provincial Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi says that technicians are working around the clock to resolve the problem.
