Load-shedding to resume on Sunday evening

Load shedding will resume between 5pm and 10pm on Saturday evening.

Eskom says this will allow replenishment of emergency generation reserves, for the week ahead.

The utility suspended power cuts from 10pm on Saturday night.

Eskom warns that the current capacity constraints will continue for the foreseeable future.

It’s urging South Africans to use less electricity, especially between 5 pm and 10 pm, when winter demand is highest.
