Store owner shot dead in robbery

Gauteng: At 11H06 Monday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting at the Centurion Mall in Centurion, Pretoria.

Reports indicate that a 55-year-old male, believed to be the owner of a jewellery store, was shot in a robbery. When medics arrived on scene, they found that the man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

A full advanced life support resuscitation was initiated by Netcare 911 and Emer-G-Med emergency care practitioners.

Despite best efforts by all involved, the patient’s injuries were too severe, and he was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
