Part-Time – Warehouse, Picker, Packer, and Stock Controller.

A leading Book Publishing Distribution Company are looking for a dynamic, motivated, Part Time – Junior Warehouse, Picker, Packer, and Stock Controller to join our team. The position would be based at our office and Warehouse in Capricorn Business Park, Muizenberg. The starting date is immediate or depending on the availability of the right candidate

The successful candidate would need an understanding of the workings of a Warehouse,
Picking and Packing Stock, and Stock Management and Control.

This is a basic entry-level position. A detailed job description is available to those Candidates who display a serious interest in the position.

Points for noting prior to submitting a CV for consideration:

This is a four-month Contract Position with the possibility of renewal for an additional four months should the work demand require it. Should it be required the contract will be extended, by joint agreement by both parties, during the third month of the Contract.
Monthly remuneration is based on a basic salary which is payable on the 25th of the month. .
A driver’s license would be an advantage although is not a necessity.
The position is based in Capricorn Business Park, Muizenberg. As such consideration should be given to getting to and from the workplace and meeting the starting time of 08h30.

Competencies:

Work Experience in a Warehouse environment will be an advantage.
The picking, packing, sealing and labelling of cartons is a necessity.
The writing up of Waybills.
Locating of existing stock and creating new bin locations for incoming stock.
The ability to work methodically and abide to a stock management system.
Good speaking and written communication skills in the English language.
Good Organisational Skills.
PC Literate, a working knowledge of Word and Excel would be advantageous.

Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, manage and achieve agreed to objectives.
The ability to work independently
The ability to work under pressure and the ability to work in a small business environment.
The physical ability and strength to lift, carry and pack cartons weighing up to 15kg’s.
