A career opportunity exists for an IT Technician / Stock Controller in our Support Centre, in East London. The IT Technician / Stock Controller will be required to work 6 days per week.
We have one (1) vacancy to fill.
The IT Technician- Stock Controller will be responsible to perform the following duties:
Key Accountabilities:
Point of Sale: WPRO:
Manage Point of Sale functionality.
Maintain Point of Sale Hardware
Receipt Printer
Cash Drawer
Scanner
Keyboard & Mouse
Assist if/when necessary with …
… End Of Day Procedures
… Cash Up.
… Point of Sale procedures
Ensure data is processed and available
Usernames and Passwords: maintenance and monitoring.
Point of Sale Administration:
Ensure price changes are correct for the price change effective date.
Ensure all products are on the system.
Ensure stores data trickle feed is operational.
Ensure stores do not trade manually.
Dolfin & Dolfin Live:
Ensure Dolfin and WPRO balance
Ensure month-end is run and is correct.
Consult with UCS on all areas of the current Service Level Agreement (WPRO and Dolfin)
General Software:
Install, configure and manage all necessary software for Jumbo devices.
Maintain all software licensing
Hardware:
Procurement, Installation, Configuration, Maintenance and management of all Point of Sale and related hardware.
Implement mediums of information exchange (eg: internet and email)
Perform general and preventative maintenance.
Audit:
Complete in-store audit when necessary.
Maintain record of Hardware and Software.
General IT:
Communication Lines operational
All cellphone / Store telephone / VoIP / fax machine / speed points
Store openings (ensure all IT covered)
Monitor information exchange (usage of data cap)
Minimum requirements for the job:
(You must be able to answer “YES” to all requirements listed below)
Matric Certificate
Valid Driver’s Licence – Code 8 unendorsed
2 – 5 years IT Experience
A+ PC Technician (Hardware & operating system)
N+ Networking
Willingness to travel
Advantageous Knowledge and Skills:
Networking: share folders, create virtual private network, diginet, routers and switches
Setting up a domain, domain accounts, windows server updates
Microsoft office, Anti-virus programmes
Microsoft XP, Windows 7, Vista, windows server
WPRO / Dolfin (UCS)
Stock management applications and procedures.
MCITP (MCSE 2012) / MCSE qualification
