Captain Kay Makhubela said the device was found in one of the shops inside the mall. Gauteng police say Southgate Mall in Johannesburg has been evacuated after a suspicious device was found on Friday.
“We have sent bomb specialists to determine whether it is a bomb or not,” Makhubela said. Police and other law enforcement were on the scene.
