Sisters drown at Jukskei River during traditional ceremony

Two Johannesburg women will have to explain to the police how two other women drowned during a traditional ritual in the Jukskei River on Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says the deceased were sisters.
It is alleged that the deceased were performing rituals with two traditional doctors at the river when they drowned.
“We are currently obtaining statements from these two traditional doctors”, said Masondo. Masondo says authorities are investigating the incident.
