Former Backstage actor Sibu Radebe has died

Multi-award-winning actor, dancer, and vocalist, Sibusiso Radebe has died at the age of 37. Sibu had been battling cancer after being diagnosed in 2018 and was undergoing chemotherapy in 2019, but sadly passed Thursday, 9 January.
Although his family is yet to release a statement, his manager Wesley Gainer confirmed the news to MOVE! saying, “Sibu has passed away. We can’t speak for the family. They are still getting things together.”
Sibu was best known for his role as Vusi on the e.tv series, Backstage between 1999 and 2004. He also had roles on other TV series including Stokvel, Home Mtunzini.com, Home Affairs, City Ses’la and Gaz’lam.
Friends and colleagues have taken to social media to share the news and pay tribute.
“My heart is incredibly heavy and sad right now. You are my brother and always will be. You were loved On this earth @SibuRadebe more than you will ever know. R.IP my brother,” Thobi Mkhwanazi wrote.
