Controversial South African rapper, Shebeshxt and his family are grieving after a car accident claimed the life of his nine-year-old daughter.
The rapper, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, was involved in a car accident on his way to a gig on Saturday night.
Department of Transport and Community Safety spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene said in an accident on the R37, the driver sustained “serious injuries”, a passenger sustained moderate to serious injuries and a nine-year-old passenger died at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The Chauke family has asked for privacy and empathy as they grieve the death of their loved one.
“The accident unfortunately claimed the life of his beloved daughter Onthatile, which caused utter grief and shock. She was the angel who warmed all our hearts. In this time of grief, we appeal for your empathy, consideration, space, and time to deal with this tragic news.
“We are thankful for the outpouring of support we have received and that you keep the family in your prayers..”
