CENTANE, Eastern Cape – Police in the Eastern Cape are investigating the death of two young boys in a shack fire in Centane.
It’s alleged a woman left the children, aged 7 and 12, alone in the shack late on Monday evening.
One of the boys died while being transported to Tafalofefe Hospital while the other boy died the following morning.
It’s not yet clear at this stage whether the boys were related to each other or to the woman.
Police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said they are also investigating why the boys were left alone.
