Water experts from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research will brief the media today on the access to quality water in Hammanskraal.
They’ll also talk about the latest technologies developed to treat domestic and wastewater.
The quality of water in South Africa overall is not in a good position according to water expert Anthony Turton.
One of the problems is we are discharging too much-untreated sewage into our river systems which in inevitably ends up as drinking water, Turton asserted.
He stated the water problem is one of many facing the government from long periods of poor maintenance and service delivery.
