KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

To manage and oversee that all housekeeping and laundry staff members perform their duties as laid out in their job descriptions.
Do regular room and ablution checks. Draw up the monthly duty roster. To ensure that enough staff members are on duty to perform the housekeeping and laundry duties. Signs staff on duty on a daily basis. Ensure that all chalets are cleaned timeously to ensure that guests may occupy the units at 15h00.

Custodian of the Health and Safety procedures in her department. Ensures that staff that do not abide by policies and procedures are disciplined. To control the housekeeping budget and to ensure that expenses remain within the budget. Ensure that all equipment for housekeeping and laundry are in good condition and adhere to the requirements of the Health and Safety act.
Do operating stocktaking on a quarterly basis.

Ensure that the maintenance department performs all maintenance requirements. Replacement of all cleaning material and shortage of equipment. Report all accidents and injuries to General manager. Ensure that all chemicals and cleaning material are used correctly and safely. Safe storage and positioning of machinery, cleaning material and guest supplies. Performs any other duties as delegated by Resort Manager.

Grade 12 + Housekeeping experience
