A security mall officer in Thohoyandou beats up and Indian family in a brawl that was received with mixed emotions on social media.
The video shows a mall security detail continuously kicking an Indian man, in retaliation to the first missed punches thrown in his direction. The Indian man was accompanied by his pregnant wife and small child aged 5 years. Details leading to the exchange are not yet clear but repeated kicks saw the man falling on top of his 5-year-old child and the woman throwing an object towards the mall security officer.
According to eye witness who spoke to Savannanews, the family had refused to get their hands sanitized citing the quality of the sanitizer. They rejected a regulation made by the government to get sanitized when entering malls and shops.
“This drama escalated fast, at first this guy (man) refused to get his family’s hands sanitized when they entered a supermarket saying the hand sanitizer is of poor quality. They exchanged insults leading to the fight.
They are both wrong in this, the guard being a professional, no matter the insults he wasn’t supposed to beat up customers. On the other hand being a customer doesn’t give anyone the right to insult people at their work places, I’m sure the matter was settled after the superior intervened abut the security guy is likely to lose his job,” the witness said.
