Eskom’s blackouts will be suspended from 9 pm on Sunday.
The power utility says emergency generation reserves have adequately recovered.
The latest round of blackouts is due to generation units failing at Kusile, Medupi and Arnot power stations.
As well as the delayed return of a unit serviced at Tutuka power station.
On top of this, a failure of coal conveyors at Medupi has led to reduced output.
Eskom also appeals to customers to use electricity sparingly.
