Two SARS officials implicated in the Nugent inquiry have agreed to leave the revenue collector with immediate effect.
SARS says it will not proceed with further action against Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane and Luther Lebelo.
Makhekhe-Mokhuane is said to have failed to update the SARS system when she was head of IT.
Lebelo, who was Group Executive for Employment Relations, was allegedly the right-hand man of then Commissioner Tom Moyane.
He used taxpayers’ money during the inquiry, which was not authorised by SARS.
