Strive Masiyiwa to become Vice President?

Billionaire and Telecoms Guru Strive Masiyiwa might land himself a top job in the government of Zimbabwe, Fidelis Fengu of Fidelis Fengu and Associates a Think-tank based in Harare said.

In a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday Fengu said Zimbabweans must follow closely the Econet Founder as his title ,might change within a year.

Fengu linked his forecast to the recent statements by Masiyiwa supporting President Mnangagwa’s government and the various projects that he is pioneering in the rural part of Zimbabwe which is a traditional ZANU PF stronghold.

In the recent past there has been calls within a certain faction of ZANU PF that Masiyiwa be brought to the leadership of the party but that call has been resisted by the faction that is supporting Defense Minister Oppah Muchinguri to take over the Vice Presidency if General Constantino Chiwenga is incapacitated.

Friends and country men, watchers of the seasons and times. Here is a school of thought or a juicy bone to chew on.

Strive Masiyiwa might not be a war veteran but seems he is leading a great assault in the frontlines against poverty in Zimbabwe.

Show me a comrade who has committed or matched Strive’s dollars in Zimbabwe.
He has a Joshua Nkomo scholarship – takes care of the education front for talented but less privileged Zimboz

He set aside funds towards Rural Electrification. If you don’t see the need to celebrate this then you need deliverance.

He set aside 100 MIL for Rural Empowerment.

He is making the right moves and playing into ZANU pf’s powerbase.

ED needs this to cement his power and authority. ED would do well to groom Strive and offer him the VP post.

Strive has helped government financially, he is no stranger to both MDC and ZANU PF.

Taking all things into consideration and other statements made by Tsitsi Masiyiwa I am going to say watch Strive in the next 6-12 months.

His title might change.
