Job Profile Summary:
At Specialty’s, Sandwich/Salad Creators are focused on providing quality service taking pride in working behind the scenes of preparing quality products for our customers with accuracy and efficiency. We deliver great food, warmth, happiness, smiles, and exceptional customer service one Sandwich and Salad at a time.
Essential Functions:
Customer Service:
Prepare customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.
Carry a friendly, energetic, personable demeanor and passion for great customer service, with a ‘customer-first’ attitude while working with a sense of urgency.
Provide quality service, taking pride in working behind the scene to prepare quality products for our customers.
Contribute to an overall positive and collaborative environment.
Take pride in every aspect of your work and perform it with energy and enthusiasm.
Operation Excellence:
Keep a professional overall presentation, by modeling friendly, respectful and business-appropriate communication with coworkers and customers.
Maintain a clean and well-groomed personal appearance in accordance with Specialty’s Personal Appearance and Attire Standards Policy.
Wear Specialty’s approved hair restraints, gloves and aprons to protect food safety.
Ensure proper hand-washing and hygiene to protect food safety.
Ensure compliance with health, food safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain a sense of urgency, high intensity, attention to detail and organized workspace.
Demonstrate proper and safe use of all tools and equipment: Knife, Bread Slicer, Microwave, Scales, Walk-In and Freezer.
Complete Opening and Closing Checklists and Weekly Cleaning Chart.
Set up and stock Sandwich/Salad Line Bar according to the schematics and complete quality checks.
Become familiar with our Sandwich/Salad Recipes and maintain attention to detail to prepare any customer-modified orders.
Prepare over-the-counter and catering orders including any modifications.
Perform any necessary kitchen prep and slice breads.
Follow all standards for stocking, rotating and sorting products.
Maintain a clean and stocked Sandwich/Salad Bar Line by performing routine cleaning.
Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner to management team.
Perform required physical tasks during the work shift.
Perform additional projects/duties as assigned by management.
Skills/Requirements:
Don’t worry if you’ve never been a Sandwich/Salad Creator. Specialty’s is dedicated to teaching you our fun techniques to make you the best!
Food Service or Retail experience preferred, not required.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality with or without reasonable accommodation.
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages, food products, cash handling, store safety, and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Provide quality service, taking pride in working behind the scenes to prepare quality products for our customers.
Ability to work quickly, embrace and learn new information, multi-task and incorporate feedback into personal performance.
Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Authorized to work in the United States ( Specialty’s participates in E-Verify ).
Food Handler Certificate/Card (Must have 2 weeks of hire).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to smile, kneel, reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift 35 pounds.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Job Environment:
Fast-Paced, High-Intensity Work Environment.
Operates in a kitchen environment, housed with equipment such as an oven, bread slicer, meat slicer, toaster, microwave, espresso machine, duchess, soup kettles and chef’s knives.
The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and noise.
Requires frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, and produce items.
Involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
