Ground 2 Tap is a water treatment consultancy in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. We design, build and install bespoke water treatment systems for commercial and residential premises alike. We pride ourselves on the professional delivery of our service & our water quality. Our products are designed to last, and we apply typical engineering principles in the process of designing, building and installing our water treatment systems. With the increasing scarcity of water in the Western Cape and country in general, we anticipate growing interest in our services for many years to come.
You will be reporting to the director of the company. As a sales manager, you will need strong sales and technical knowledge and be able to conduct yourself professionally in conversation with customers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
Primary focus is on Business to Business sales (B2B), although B2C will play a minor role
Independently source new leads, refine leads to identify potential deals, engage with the key decision makers in business & close the deal.
Take client calls, arrange meetings and manage relationship with client.
Be the face of Ground 2 Tap, always leaving a good impression with prospective clients.
Technical
Conducting site visits in order to determine project requirements, which may include taking an initial water sample, measuring site specifications & pipe sizes, and understanding the clients water consumption requirements.
Basic understanding of water chemistry & system designs. (Training will be provided, but candidates should be technically inclined).
Key Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Technical know-how and interest in the following fields: plumbing, chemistry, mechanics.
Time management & administrative skills – Ability to work on several projects at a time, tracking the deal progress & visiting multiple sites on a daily basis.
Analytical & methodical approach to sales.
Ability to operate & think independently.
Eager to learn & intuitively understands the technical process
Minimum 5-years of experience in sales with a technical background.
Valid drivers’ license and have own transport.
