SABC pulls off the plug on The Bold and the Beautiful. Recently, the SABC announced that it will discontinue broadcasting the much loved and long-standing soapie, The Bold and The Beautiful in March 2019.
Some television shows have been on our screens for so long that they have somehow become a part of our lives. Going a night without watching some of our favourite soapies could be enough to lead us to insanity.
This move by the station might upset many of the older generations of an audience, but also including the youth who have also followed the soapie by virtue of its enchanting presence on our screens in the afternoon.
According to TVSA, the schedule update reads as follows: ”The management of the channel decided to cancel or discontinue Bold due to the investment performance in the slot which does not make business sense to continue with such a property on the schedule hence the cancellation.”
Over the years, viewers have vouched for different characters on the show, including the iconic Brooke Logan, Ridge Forrester and Stephanie Forrester. These legendary characters defined a particular era in the world of soapies.
