SA citizens repatriated from Wuhan test negative for COVID-19

The Department of Health announced that all the South African citizens that were repatriated from Wuhan over the weekend were tested for COVID-19 and their results have come back negative.

The chartered SANDF aircraft carrying 146 South Africans from Wuhan landed at the Polokwane Airport on Saturday. The group has been placed in quarantine for 21 days at The Ranch Resort.

“We continue to keep them in quarantine for the prescribed period and will thereafter initiate the process of reunifying them with the community,” said Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize.
