ROAD CONSTRUCTION GENERAL WORKER wanted: Salary R5 800 per month

Civil construction company now has openings available for entry-level positions for general worker road construction crews.

Duties include:

Traffic control by Installing the cones, signs and barricades that warn drivers and control the flow of traffic,
Acting as flagmen to stop or direct traffic,
Clearing debris from the work site,
Using jackhammers to break up existing pavement,
Using equipment such as cement mixers or asphalt heaters,

Requirements:

Previous experience as a construction labourer, manual labourer, builder or trade assistant,
The work is very labour intensive therefore you should be physically fit to perform tasks,
Practical skills to operate power tools and machinery,
Able to stand for long periods of time,
The ability to read technical drawings and plans – desireable,

As these are entry level roles, candidates will under go formal training at the expense of the company before work commences.
