At 12H41 Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Lighthouse road in Umhlanga Rocks.
Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi and a light motor vehicle were involved in a collision resulting in the taxi rolling several times.
Approximately five people sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
