2. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
2.1. The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate.
2.2. Extensive knowledge of relevant CRS (Computer Reservation System).
2.3. 3 Years working experience within the Airline Industry.
2.4. Travel diploma in Travel and Tourism would be an added advantage.
2.5. Must have a minimum of 2 years reservations and ticketing experience.
2.6. Computer literate on Microsoft Excel and Word.
2.7. Must have good telephone manners and negotiation skills.
2.8. Must have the ability to work under pressure and conform to routine.
2.9. Problem solving and investigation strengths of high importance.
2.10. Must be a team player.
2.11. Must be able to take initiative and have internal drive.
2.12. Must be honest and reliable.
2.13. Must be able to work shifts within general office hours from Monday to Friday as defined.
2.14. Must be able to work weekends and Public holidays on a roster basis.
2.15. Will attend training as and when required to do so.

3. Accountabilities
3.1. The employee shall be accountable for ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications
3.2. Responsible for the OHS in their area of responsibility and accountability reporting into this role.
3.3. Accountable for the management of safety risks and security threats to aircraft operations.
3.4. Access AERS (Airlink Enquiry Reservations System).
3.5. Process the flights in AERS to ensure all revenue has been accounted for.
3.6. Investigate and problem solving loss of revenue.
3.7. Ensure all post departure figures balance for Revenue purposes.
3.8. Must be able to liaise by phone/email with the Travel Trade, Outstations and Passengers.
3.9. Process extensive preflight checks to confirm waitlist to maximize revenue on each flight.
3.10. Adherence to IATA general ticketing and reservations regulations.

4. Responsibilities
4.1. Some Airlink stations require manual intervention and may require assistance from the Revenue Controller to assist with; passenger name lists/ticketed passengers/un-ticketed passengers to be printed 24 hours before their flights depart.
4.2. On a timeously manner all queues to be attended to i.e. waitlists, special requests (UMNR’s / MEDA’s), pre-seating and confirmation of special meals.
4.3. Process Pre-flight checks on all flights to ensure all passengers are ticketed and no duplicate bookings exist.
4.4. Airlink stations may require the assistance of the revenue controller to assist with reissues, on an Involuntary or Voluntary.
4.5. Ensure waitlists reports are accurate and compiled on a daily basis.
4.6. Serve as a helpdesk for agents, passengers and travel trade.
4.7. Must be able to answer the telephone and respond to emails.
4.8. Adhering to Airlink’s Policies and Procedures.
4.9. Adhering to Fare rules.
4.10. Processing of Refunds as per Fare rules, Policies and Procedures.
4.11. Process and action all work lists on AERS.
4.12. Dealing with irate passenger/agents.
4.13. Able to make bookings, issue electronic tickets and issue EMD’s
4.14. Ensure the process of ordering Special meal requests are processed in the Airlink Cargo meal system on a daily basis. With the printed list filed away for back up.
4.15. Ensure the catering is compiled and emailed to the correct department on a
daily basis
4.16. Manage block space agreements when required.
4.17. Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
