Purpose of the role

To assist and support the Head of Outsource and Specialized Collections. You will also be responsible for ensuring that outsourced providers and partners deliver in line with agreed service levels and the Company’s standards and policies.

Overview

The ideal candidate will be required to:

Supporting the Head of Outsource and specialized Collections across all stages of collections by managing the day to day administrative relationships with external collections agencies.Ensure adherence to key stakeholder’s policies & procedures
Ensure adequate controls & exception reporting in line with policies;
Assist in managing collections activities according to agreed performance measures, including operating plans & expense budgets;
Assist the Head of the department to prepare and present monthly portfolio performance to the various internal stakeholders and external agencies;
Continuously seek improvements in collections processes and technology as well as manage the change process and ensure implementation according to specifications;
Ensure that all EDC’s engagements are accurately recorded on the appropriate systems
Stay abreast of market trends, relevant legislation & events in appropriate industry;

Competencies Required:

Collections and Recoveries industry & business knowledge;
3-5 years of experience in managing a team essential
3-5 years recoveries / EDC management experience essential
Vendor / 3rd Party Supplier Relationship Management;
Working knowledge of Debt review, Admin Orders and Deceased Estates processes
Vision knowledge and experience;
CAS knowledge and experience:
Attention to detail
Ability to deliver a high standard of work under pressure
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Strong computer literacy (Excel experience essential);
Strong numerical and analytical ability;
Team player
Organizational skills;
Self-motivated;
