Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition is coming to Xbox

It’s been almost a year since we sang Capcom’s praises in our Resident Evil 4 review, and as its anniversary approaches, Capcom has revealed that its definitive Gold Edition is on the way. As revealed on Capcom’s website, Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition launches on February 9 for Xbox Series X|S and other platforms. We don’t have a price to go on at the moment, but it packs in the base game, Separate Ways DLC, and the bonus DLC pack is currently only available in the Deluxe Edition, which will be delisted on the same day the Gold Edition launches.

Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition includes the fantastic base game, which is a masterclass in remaking a classic horror game, as well as its DLC. In the Separate Ways, you play as Ada Wong, who was sent to the village ahead of Leon S. Kennedy to retrieve an item called the Amber. Her mission soon sees Ada battling a threat from within, connecting with an accomplice with ulterior motives, and once again, coming face-to-face with Leon.

As for the bonus pack of in-game content, you’ll receive Leon and Ashley’s Casual and Romantic costumes, Leon’s Hero and Villain costumes and filters, and Leon’s Sporty Sunglasses accessories. Additionally, the pack is loaded with the Sentinel Nine and Skull Shaker weapons, a new treasure map, and an ‘Original Ver’ soundtrack.

If you’re yet to dive into this fantastic game, check out the Resident Evil 4 achievements for guides to help you fight your way through the murderous cult and claim your completion.
