We are looking for a Relief Receptionist who would like the opportunity to provide excellent Customer Service to both clients and in-house staff.
The candidate will play an integral part in genuinely putting our clients and patients first and seek perfection through continuous improvement, and will always show respect.

WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THIS JOB?
Job deliverables and main duties
The most important task of this position is to manage the customer experience in reception i.e.:
· Interactions are friendly and professional according to reception standards
· Selling of veterinary products and food to clients
· Questions and queries are addressed according to policies, protocols and standards
· Customer complaints handled according to protocol and escalated as required
· Consultations and theatre procedures booked accurately
· Accurate messages taken and passed on
· Product knowledge kept up to date through reading, attending training and discussions with reps
· Medical emergencies handled according to protocols
· Queuing system accurately coordinated
· Co-ordinate relevant administration processes
TO BE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS JOB YOU NEED …
Required Education, Certifications and Work Experience:
Must have:
Grade 12 and a valid drivers’ license
If you can tick these you will have an advantage:
2-3 years’ experience in reception
Previous experience in a veterinary practice is an advantage
Skills, Knowledge, Personal Qualities:
Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
Computer Literate
Product Knowledge
Switchboard experience
Effective planning and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks so that deadlines are met.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Self-directed and able to identify and deal with unexpected problems.
Able to build constructive customer relationships.
