FORKLIFT/REACH DRIVER wanted urgently: Salary R6 000 to R8 000 per month

Forklift / Reach truck Readiness
Check the mechanical condition of the forklift–complete the checklist and daily checks on the forklift
Conduct preventative maintenance and report faults
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
Goods Processes
Goods loading and offloading from trucks
Offloading inbound shipments safely and move packed products to correct storage locations
Efficiently stack and store control–stacking goods in the correct storage / racking bays
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
Ensure proper stock rotation
Stock Take
Assist in stock take processes and preperation
Housekeeping
Contribute to the improvement of a safe work environment in work areas.
Maintain safe and tidy warehouse.
Ensure that damages are reported accordingly and timeously.
General
Participate in improvement initiatives.
Operate a forklift and/or reach truck.
Work momentum is managed in a fast-paced environment.
Manage and enforce good quality controls and food safety
Management of the TWMS system
General duties as instructed by direct supervisor (within reason/scope)
Qualifications:
Matric is a MUST and Forklift certification per OSHA standards
Experience:
At least 1-year experience in the warehouse or stores within an edible Oils industry or FMCG. Proper stacking in compliance with legal requirements, Able to work shifts as and when assigned,
Skills:
Able to read and write, good administrative skills, good written and verbal communication skills, able to assess weights and judge distances and heights, able to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season, having a good sense of balance, having good eye-hand-foot coordination
Knowledge:
Forklift safety measures, a good understanding of all road safety warning signs, a good understanding of moving products weighing half a ton (1/2 ton to 2 tons), adherence to safe driving practices
Competencies:
Proven forklift competency, ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, planning, and organizing, ability to follow instructions, customer-centric both internally and externally, hands-on approach, physical fitness
