
2018 was a tough year for South Africa’s economy.
However, foreign direct investment grew by over 400 percent to $7.1-billion last year.
That’s up from $1.3-billion the year before.
President Cyril Ramaphosa and his team are currently on a charm offensive at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
It’s hoped his push will help bag a trillion rand in investments by 2023.
So far, a third of this amount has been raised.
