ATM again calls for secret ballot on Ramaphosa farm theft report

The African Transformation Movement (ATM) has asked the National Assembly Speaker to consider a secret ballot when Parliament votes on whether to adopt the Phala Phala report or not.

MPs are due to meet on Tuesday to consider the Section 89 panel recommendations.

They will engage in an open vote.

The ATM argues that ANC MPs should be allowed to vote with their conscience, instead of being forced to toe a party line.

The ANC has already indicated that it will vote against adopting the report.
