Ramaphosa and Gordhan holding the country to ransom: Mpofu

Advocate Dali Mpofu says President Cyril Ramaphosa and Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan are holding the country to ransom.

Mpofu represented Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane in the North Gauteng High Court on Thursday. Mpofu has expressed his disdain for the urgent application that Ramaphosa has filed against Mkhwebane.

Ramaphosa wants the court to suspend the Protector’s demand for remedial action against Gordhan over the Ivan Pillay pension payout matter.

“The inconvenience of Mr. Gordhan driving to the president’s office and just being told, ‘look don’t do this again’.
