Ramaphosa pained by corruption in healthcare sector

President Cyril Ramaphosa says there’s a shocking level of corruption in healthcare.

Launching an anti-corruption forum for the sector, he said the corruption was not confined to the public sector. Doctors are involved.

“It pains me to hear how this most fundamental of rights, access to health services has been impacted by the stench of corruption.”

Ramaphosa’s launched the health sector anti-corruption forum to tackle criminality that’s crippling public health.

It comes amid a damning Health Market Inquiry report that’s proposed major steps to end the spiralling cost of private health.
