Here is an opportunity to join one of the biggest Iron Ore Mine company in South Africa as our Quality Inspector. You will ensure the quality of stock items received, and that stock items are not overpriced. The role will also be responsible for ensuring that the warehouse meets all the requirements.
Job Description
We are currently seeking to employ a Quality Inspector to join our Kumba Iron Ore Team. This role will deal with all received stock items that are analysed to ensure that the required technical specifications are met, you make sure that Stock items received are checked and verified against the required technical specifications and engineering drawings. You will need to make sure that all received stock items are inspected to ensure that the required technical specifications are met.
You will also receive stock items identified for purchasing, overpricing and duplications etc, further make sure that the test process is monitored where items have to be tested and the test reports are compiled and stored on the S-drive for perusal by end-users, reports are generated to assist in managing inventory efficiency and to ensure the integrity of data captured on the SAP system. Ensuring adherence to all safety and health standards and promoting good housekeeping on an ongoing basis.
This role is in the Engineering Mining department is on a Band 7 and will report to the Section Manager – Engineering
Qualifications
National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Artisan Trade Certificate, 3-5 years’ experience in the field, maintenance experience and dealing with Inspection & Testing principle’s, visual welding inspections and certified Quality Controller. A Driver’s license code B will be required.
