Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management
Information Systems or closely related field
Up to 8 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in operating systems and relational database
management systems, such as SQL server and Oracle as well as
Microsoft Office
Knowledge of interdependence of software and hardware
operating in a multi-platform and multi-user environment
Problem-solving, analytical, communication and time management
skills
Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques in the
installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software is
preferred.
Key Performance Areas
Gather information to analyse and evaluate existing or proposed
systems
Analyse and evaluate present and proposed business
procedures/models or problems to define data processing needs
Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining system
capabilities and processes, including workflow
Participate in designing, selecting, developing, testing and
implementing computer applications, programme modifications and
enhancements in order to meet the Department’s requirements for
effective and efficient designed information systems.
Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine
feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current systems
and procedures
Plan projects, future expansion requirements and bring projects to conclusion, including development of operating procedures, instruction, training, and documentation
Facilitate the initiation of projects by preparing project initiation
documents for Corporate IT
Determine reporting requirements and access the Valuation
database to extract information
Verify work of team members for accuracy, timelines and
