There is a video making rounds on social media showing an incident where covid-19 patients are flooding up the hospital, the doctor along with a number of nurses can be seen attending to the patients. Many South Africans still treat the pandemic like it is a joke. When the president is busy making speeches about its awareness they treat it as a joke until someone close to them loses their life.
The wearing of masks has been made mandatory and people are urged to be wearing their masks in public at all times, to not take off their masks even for a second because they don’t know when or where they are going to contract the virus and infect their loved ones.
There has been many cases of people getting the diseases from outside their he’s and infecting everyone in the family, followed by deaths. It is not advisable to be busy conducting yourselves like children, and not taking precautionary measures as the president has prescribed.
Apparently this was the situation Monday night at Prince Mshiyeni Hospital, Umlazi, eThekwini.
