Some primary school pupils in Pretoria say they are eager to start learning as some wrapped up their primary school journey in 2024.
Pupils made their way to different schools on Wednesday morning as the bell rang.
While some pupils marked the start of their schooling journey, others gleefully walked back into a familiar setting.
Refilwe Gumede said her final year of primary school would be an academically challenging one, but she remained positive.
Grade six learner Thandi Masemola said she was just happy to be back in the classroom: “I’m excited to see my friends again!”
“When we are going to school, it’s much more fun! At home, it is not nice,” another learner said, joining in on the excitement.
