Calls to deploy ANC NEC members to Tshwane over political killings

ANC officials in Ward 22 Mabopane, north of Tshwane, are calling for the party to deploy its NEC members to calm political tensions brewing in the area.

This follows the murder of councillor Tshepo Motaung, who was shot around 21 times last week.

Meanwhile, the ANC says political killings within the organization are gravely concerning.

Veterans in the party say the killing of Motaung has made it more difficult to convince people to vote ANC.

Motaung is expected to be buried on Saturday.
