Police Minister Bheki Cele will visit Stilfontein after the arrest of 20 suspected illegal miners.
He will be accompanied by the police’s top brass. The arrests were part of a joint operation by police and the Hawks in the North West. They seized over a dozen firearms, boxes of ammunition and explosives.
The Hawks say the suspects have been under surveillance for some time. The raid forms part of operations targeted at illegal mining.

The late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa must be smiling from his grave. When he died in 2014, Meyiwa was in the process of building a home for his children.
