Police Minister Bheki Cele says the law enforcement agencies are working to end taxi violence.
Several taxis have been torched in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape.
Cele says those who are implicated should be held accountable. Meanwhile, he also urged police to crack down on illegal taverns and those contravening the lockdown regulations.
He was speaking at the opening ceremony of a police station in Daggakraal in Mpumalanga.
