Police Commissioner welcomes gangster’s 275-year sentence

The National Police Commissioner has welcomed the sentencing of a Cape Town gangster to an effective 275 years.

Police say 33-year-old Faldeen ‘Saampie’ Marks appeared in the Johannesburg High Court on a range of charges, including 5 murders.

Between 2016 and 2017 he murdered four people in Westbury and one in Eldorado Park.

National Police Commissioner Khehla Sitole has welcomed the lengthy sentence handed down on Friday.

Sitole’s also applauded two Gauteng detectives for their sterling work on the case.
