Mpumalanga: At approximately 15H45 Friday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a plane crash near the Nelspruit Airfield.
Reports from the scene alleged that a light aircraft piloted by an adult male believed to be in his forties also the only occupant on board came down outside the Airfield.
Netcare 911 HEMS crew who were at the Airfield when the incident occurred rushed to the scene however found the aircraft engulfed in flames.
The Nelspruit Fire and Rescue Services managed to douse the flames and on closer inspection found the pilot deceased next to the aircraft.
Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
