SHOWMAX has shared the official trailer for Temptation Island South Africa.
The international show to debut in Mzansi will see four couples’ love put to the test. It premieres on 26 August, with new episodes every Thursday until 4 November.
Temptation Island will help the couples decide if they are suitable for each other, want to stay together or go their separate ways.
Together, the couples will go on a luxurious holiday in Knysna, Western Cape, where they will live separately with 20 s.e.xy single men and women looking for love.
The couples include call centre agent Precious Khumalo (25) and biokineticist Grant Manuel (27), who’ve been together for four years and are from Cape Town.
The other three couples are from Joburg.
Close protection officer Justin Fritz (31) has been on an on-and-off relationship for 13 years with human resources manager Estelle Langa (30). They recently started seeing each other exclusively.
Software developer and actress Musa Qubinkomo (26) and Sifiso Ndlazi (27), an actor, personal trainer and model, are living together. They’ve been with each other for just over a year.
Finally, entrepreneur, model and DJ Nthabiseng Maphago (26), is in a relationship with fitness trainer and luxury gym designer MJ Maponya (29). They’ve been together for a year and six months. MJ is also a reality TV star on Moja Love’s The Way Ngingakhona.
The show will be hosted by TV and radio presenter Phat Joe.

As someone who knows the games of love and temptation first hand, we believe he’s the perfect host for Temptation Island South Africa.”
