Pfizer expiry date extended

The expiry date for millions of COVID-19 vaccines has been extended. More than 8.5 million Pfizer doses were up for waste at the end of October.
That’s now changed to December and January. The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority approved the extension on the recommendation of experts.
The Health Department says the vaccines are still completely safe and effective.
