Former Free State Agriculture head Peter Thabethe has been granted bail of R10,000.
Thabethe and Gupta associate Iqbal Sharma are facing fraud and corruption charges related to the failed Estina Dairy Farm project.
A R25-million tender was irregularly awarded to a company owned and controlled by Sharma.
The accused appeared briefly in court on Thursday after their arrest a day before.
They’ve been in custody since their arrest.
