There’s been a lot of hearsay regarding Somizi and Mohale‘s marriage, with many assumptions brewing that they are headed to splitsville. Somgaga is not making anything easier and his recent behaviour on social media adds fuel to the fire. This begs the question: What is the current state of Somhale?
Whilst many are sill trying to figure out what is going on in the Mhlongo-Motaung household, Somizi is scouting for his next husband. To fit the criteria one has to be from Mthatha and be a well-spoken Xhosa man.
Not only that, but he needs to have a solid six-figure income as well. We all witnessed Lasizwe and Michael Bucwa’s (Mr. SMEG) lunch date. This encouraged another popular Tweleb to ask Somgaga out on a date.
Somizi’s response was not only hilarious but it was also laced with shady undertones, which many think are directed at Mohale. The Idols SA judge wants the next person he is going to date to show him his 6 months bank statement. It was the “angisadlali” (I am not playing anymore) that made our jaws drop.

Perhaps the reason for this is because Mohale is not as wealthy as Somgaga, especially when they first started dating. Trolls seem to think that Mohale used Somgaga to gain popularity and increase his bank balance. Now that he has secured a lot of deals, he has decided to bounce.

Before this, Somizi told his followers to get their outfits ready because they will be witnessing another wedding.
Well, firstly the couple faced heavy scrutiny when they made their relationship public, with the one factor being the huge age difference between them. Mohale is two decades younger than Somizi.
Secondly, many noticed how Somizi and the ‘love of his life’, Vusi Nova have been spending a lot of time together. They are living large and having the best time of their lives whilst securing the bags.
This might have pushed Mohale to remove the ‘Mhlongo’ surname on his social media as well. He is focused on inking major deals with many big brands and building his empire. He has also been taking solo vacations and having lunch dates with his family members.
Lastly, Somgaga unfollowed Mohale Motaung on Instagram and Twitter but Mohale is still following him. The couple who invited us into their marriage, is the same couple leaving us in the dark when it comes to divorce rumours. Whether they are pulling our legs and playing a very clever PR stunt, only time will tell.
