Our client based in Bellville requires a Payroll Bookkeeper to join their head office team. This candidate will be exceptionally well-experienced in all aspects of payroll. The position will entail 90% Payroll (+- 150 staff) and 10% general Bookkeeping.
Due to the urgency of this vacancy, candidates who meet all the stipulated criteria and are available to commence work immediately will be given preference.
Duties & Responsibilities:
All aspects of Payroll function
Monthly bookkeeping up to Trial Balance
Posting and Reconciliation of:
Debtors
Creditors
Cashbook
Petty Cash
Monthly Journals
Control Accounts
Preparation & loading of electronic payments
Job related general administrative tasks within the finance department
Any other duty in the finance department that might be required from the employee from time to time
Minimum Requirements:
A suitable Degree or Diploma with 3 – 5 years working experience (essential)
More than 2 years’ Payroll experience
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) + an Accounting package
Knowledge/ experience in VAT, Fixed Assets + Inventory/Stock control
Experience in using NAV, DIPAR or any similar Logistics/ Financial software (highly advantageous)
Experience within the Fruit/ Agriculture industry (highly advantageous)
Happy and willing to work as a team
Competent in multi-tasking
Market-related salary with Pension Fund Benefit
