Specialist competencies:
Previous experience in same or similar position
Relevant pastry & a la Carte experience in an upmarket restaurant or hotel
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your specialty
Managing and training any Demi-Chef de Parties or Commis Chefs working with you
Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health & safety
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain a profit margin
Disciplined, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as lead
Ability to multitask
Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
Excellent attendance, performance track record, and references
