Pastor Omotoso retrial resumes in Port Elizabeth

Timothy Omotoso‘s retrial will resume in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Monday. The Nigerian pastor and his co-accused are facing a string of charges. The charges include rape, s-e-xual assault, human trafficking and racketeering.
They allegedly lured young girls to Omotoso’s church in Durban.
Omotoso’s legal team had brought an application to compel the state to prove intricate details about the charges but the court dismissed that application. The trial restarted with a new judge after Judge Mandela Makaula recused himself.
