Prophet Passion Java honours Philip Chiyangwa. The youthful man of the cloth, who touched down at the Robert Mugabe International airport on Saturday, paid a courtesy call to Chiyangwa at his offices. Speaking to H-Metro after the closed-door meeting with Chiyangwa, Prophet Passion said he felt privileged to have met Chiyangwa.
Flamboyant church leader and socialite Prophet Passion Java showered praises on Harare businessman Phillip Chiyangwa whom he described as the godfather of black empowerment in Zimbabwe.
“It is my privilege and honour to meet a man I regard as the Godfather of black empowerment in Zimbabwe. “You cannot talk of black empowerment in Zimbabwe without mentioning the name Phillip Chiyangwa.
“This was not my first time to have met Dr Chiyangwa, I have met him several times before I relocated to the US and every time I see him he always gives me counsel as far as business is concerned.
“I have used his cars before and for me it’s an achievement because not all young people of my age have had that opportunity before. “As you might know, I have huge business interest in my home country and the best advise anyone can get can only come from him,” he said.
Meanwhile Passion also gave Chiyangwa some US dollars which he described as a token of appreciation. “Giving Dr Chiyangwa money is for my own good because I’m giving him money that he doesn’t need, he has all the money he needs in this life. The fact that he accepted is good for me not him, so it was just my token of appreciating him,” he said
Chiyangwa also thanked Passion for visiting him. “I have known my young brother for a long time now, he has grown to become a world-renowned personality doing wonders out there in the world.
“Even when Michael Jackson goes on stage he would sometimes dance to entertain people but as he did that he would make money out of it, that’s Passion for you.
“Everything that he does translate into cash, some are against him but they don’t have cash,” said Chiyangwa. Meanwhile, Passion is in the country with his team to launch his record label Passion Java records.
