Palesa Madiba’s murder trial postponed

The murder trial of Palesa Madiba has been postponed to 15 April. The judge recused himself because he is Madiba’s grandfather. Madiba’s alleged killer appeared in court after he failed to pitch on Monday when the trial was set to start.

Dumisani Mkhwanazi’s lawyer, however, said he wasn’t called on Monday Madiba disappeared after visiting a friend in 2013. Her body was later found buried in a shallow grave at the same property she was last seen. Mkhwanazi allegedly murdered and buried Madiba in his backyard in Soweto.
