Nandipha Mgughelo (29) and Simpiwe Ngubane ( 37) met in Klerksdorp even though they were both originally from different cities. She liked him instantly but decided to play hard to get. ” I remember that fateful day he took my breath away, but I played it cool.”
Simpiwe would have to try and impress the young lady for another 5 month’s before she parted ways with her number. “She gave me the run-around for 5 months, I said to myself that I love this lady and I want to wait for her. recalls Simpiwe. After they were official Simpiwe would go around telling friends that he found his soulmate ‘bone of his bones.
Nandipha is a stay at home mom, while Simpiwe works in Limpopo and visits home on free weekends, she says it is tough but she understands as he is providing for their family of five. They have four children together, and he ensures he spends every moment with his family when he’s around.” Every time he is home, he lavishes me with attention and lots of love.” She beams.
Simpiwe understands that the arrangement is very tough on his bride and his family, ” It’s not easy for a young woman to wait while her man is away.” He appreciates everything she does for the family. The two have had their fair share of challenges and haven’t always had a blissful marriage. Simpiwe was drinking heavily and staying out for hours in the past, without explanation.

“I had some growing up to do.” he admits. He decided to quit drinking after a potential job loss and an intervention from Nandipha. Things have been going well ever since he took that life changing decision! Simpiwe, has already paid the bride price and made her his bride in a traditional ceremony. It caught her by surprise when he got down on one knee and proposed…they both cried tears of joy!
